Who's the most likely prospects to fill the few remaining spots? Burnett? L. Edwards? and ????
Who would be the "cherry" to top off one of the BEST recruiting efforts ever on the FLATS????
If you had to guess/pick the last couple, Who would it be? Why?

The only three we are still recruiting are Burnett, Edwards, and Peters. Any of the above would be icing on the cake.

What have you heard about Tate?

if we struck out on all 3....and something more concrete cleared up our available scholarships late in the game...we could get involved with him heavier...as we could with Latham, Linam, Davis, and Baker.

At this point...it is not likely.

How are we set for fullbacks? I saw this Preston Lyons kid from the Marist School here in Atlanta play a couple of weeks past and he's pretty impressive. Good size for an 18 year old and good speed. A D1 weight training program and food trough and I could see this kid being everything Mike Cox is. An article in the Dekalb Co insert of the AJC this morning doesn't mention any D1 interest. He needs to come in as one of those preferred walk-ons if our recruiters don't think he's worth a scholarship.

I want Burnett simply because that would be a big "UP YOURS" to UGA.

I remember hearing talk of Drew from Colorado at WR. I know he's not one of our top three but aren't we still hot for him?

no...we are only pressing hard on the big three in Burnett, Edwards, and Peters. All are open and will likely wait until January to announce. Edwards announces January 6 at the Army All-American Bowl.

If we have more scholarships free up by mid to late January we could make a late push for the others mentioned above.

We are already focusing hard on 2008 where we will give 25 ships.

Has anyone heard about L. Edwards. I know he went to UF camps, but haven't seen anything. I s he just going ot wait until December to committ?

L Edwards Is Reportedly

going to commit Jan 6 at a HS All-America game. I have no information as to where we stand with him recently.

The consensus seems to be that Florida leads in a tight race between all five. However, everyone had Morgan as an Ohio State/Penn State battle right until the GT commitment came out of his mouth.

If All of The "Big 3" decide to go elsewhere will Tech call it quits or will they expand their sights to some of the players that would like to be Jackets, but got cut from Tech's list based on the lack of Schollys?

As of today we may call it quits....however we do not expect to miss on all 3....and other information could come to light as to possible attrition to make us more comfortable than the 2 spots we have to make room for now...and that is assuming we do not make room to have valuable walk-on's like Durant Brooks on scholarship again next year.
