Thomasville lineman Brandon Thompson had a blast at Bobby Dodd Stadium last weekend while watching Georgia Tech beat Clemson. "It was a great experience," Thompson said. "I got to watch the defense in action. It was cool to get to meet all the players. Georgia Tech is definitely one of the schools I'm considering." Thompson said Clemson, Florida State and LSU also remain in the running for his commitment. He offered little insight on when he will announce his college choice. "I'm not really sure," Thompson said.
• Tech is till in the running for offensive lineman Kenneth Page of Columbia's A.C. Flora High. "I think highly of Georgia Tech," said Page, rated the 11th-best guard in the nation by Scout.com. "It's a great program and a top competitor in the ACC. The business school there is amazing. The connections and networking I'd get will be very beneficial." Page is also considering Alabama, Clemson, Maryland, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Tennessee and South Carolina.

• Defensive end William Green of Hoover (Ala.) Spain Park continues to consider Tech, along with Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU and Oklahoma. Green, who was scheduled to attend Saturday night's LSU-Florida contest in Baton Rouge, has visited Tech twice during the recruiting process. "The best thing about Georgia Tech is the education and the coaching staff," Green said.
• Walton defensive end Chase Thomas, who has listed Tech, Auburn, LSU and Stanford as his front-runners for the past several months, is now showing moderate interest in North Carolina. "My mom wants me to check North Carolina out," Thomas said.
• Chamblee's Omoregie Uzzi, who attended last weekend's Tech-Clemson contest, said Yellow Jackets coach Chan Gailey often offers words of encouragement when they talk. "He tells me I'll be a good fit at Georgia Tech," Uzzi said.
Would love for us to get these guys for the future of our program...
