Red Zone Offense

Just put it where only Bay Bay can catch it...We need this play in our book...Bay Bay does so much for this team...we need to give him more chances to use his skills.

One thing I have to say... I don't know if everybody caught this nor if I didn't catch it whenever CJ might have done it. I saw CJ in most every game he played at GT. On Bay Bay's long TD pass against um he beat his corner by deception (actualy made him look really silly) by stopping throwing his arm out and pointing (like pass INT on the Defender on the receiver short of him) and then caught the ball. Completely caught the DB off guard.

By fade...you mean missile right? That's what Nesbitt throws.

I like the fade play and D. Thomas is perfect for it, but we pound the ball down the field...we pound the ball for six.

We need the O-Line push. To not get in from 3 yards out was pretty bad.

Ask your boys to man-up and run the ball down somebody's throat from the 3 yard line. My one complaint with play calling this year is that we get a little too cute when we're 1st and goal.

I-formation with a toss sweep.

Triple option . . . to the short side of the field. (meaning I don't mind the 3O call, but just run it to the long side of the field and see if Roddy can outrun somebody to the corner).

This is a situation where we could actually just use the old school OL we have to try and line-up and blast somebody off the ball. I don't have to watch Cord Howard running around 3 steps behind the play trying to keep up with the speed of the game.

I could be wrong, but don't spread type offenses normally have trouble in the red zone. It's hard to spread a defense out when the only have to cover 10 yards back.

Our offense should be able to move it just fine. I hate the idea of a fade...that is one of my least favorite plays in football and one of the things that the previous regime did repeatedly that got under my skin....

biggest key to our redzone offense is blocking. We take care of that and there is no reason we shouldn't score every time.

Why? It was the only one thing that WORKED!
