Reese and Griffin out for UGA game....

Key word being "probably." Key person saying it being CPJ. I hope they're able to play, we need all the defense we can get.

I had heard from some pretty good sources prior to this release that they would be out.

Geez, I thought both Vance and Jahi were going to be able to start against Miami. I was surprised when they weren't able to play. Hopefully at least they will be able to play against U(sic)GA.

Hope Josh and Jon get to 100% this coming week.

Were they both injured on the first Miami offensive play when the DB took a bad angle and ran into Sed?

Was that the same DB? In any case, we just cannot catch a break with injuries, it is amazing what we have accomplished with the rash of injuries we have had this year.

I think we will be fine, seriously. I hate losing Sed but if Jahi and Walker play, no worries here.

Bowen and Anyaibe played lights out against Miami and Cooper Taylor is a darn good safety.

We REALLY needed Reese against UGA's passing attack

It would be nice to have someone older (haha)...and a ballhawk...back there for a pick. Cooper has not disappointed though. The problem is really keeping them fresh.

Sed would have been nice to key on Moreno...but Shane will not make too many mistakes and UGA loves to try and disguise some things.

shane starting?? prolly not.

Clark, Barnes, Jackson

The comment about MJ's pick being the product of preparation is great. It looked like he anticipated the throw.

We have only been starting 2 LB's in recent games...opening in a nickel.
When Sedric went down....Bowen immediately entered the game for him and he played incredible...5 tackles and 1 sack.
He received high praise from the coaching staff following the game.

From the AJC:
Linebacker Shane Bowen filled run gaps and finished with five tackles and a sack. Tony Clark, playing a hybrid of linebacker and safety, made five tackles and raced in off the edge to deflect a punt.
“One thing we’ve emphasized since coach (Paul) Johnson took the job is getting two deep at every position, and telling guys you never know when you’re number is going to be called and to always be ready,” linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary said. “The guys have taken heed to that.”
Bowen entered Thursday’s game with just eight tackles. A quadriceps injury slowed him early in the season, then Griffin emerged as perhaps Tech’s best linebacker.
“Bowen did a great job — he’s actually one of the players who has a lot of experience,” Jean-Mary said, noting the junior started 10 games last season. “He’s a reliable player you can count on. He’s always going to be in the right place.”

Not confident at all with Bowen in there.
