It will be an interesting battle for QB between Threet and Nesbitt. Threet stands 6-6 and 235 lbs..4.85 forty, yet has some mobility. He is kind of a Phillip Rivers type that shouts out to the offense a lot...extremely vocal. Threet is a late bloomer that has grown a lot the past year...great student.

Nesbitt is the silent leader type that measure 6-0, 205 at camp this summer...ran a 4.58 forty....can run and throw...played against lesser competition so has to refine fundamentals a bit. People have know about him for awhile. He really drives the Greene County team. The good thing for Josh is he could be an All-American at FS as well...so he has more options if things do not work out at QB.

We are VERY fortunate in that we will likely get both of these guys. They were #1/#2 on our board for QB's this year with both getting offers last February. Brantley was higher rated but we were never in with him.

These young men are making a great decision...and there is a place for both of them wearing the white & gold. All Tech fans just need to remain open minded and enjoy the competition.

Boy, I hope we can get verbal commitments from both and then follow it up with real signings in February.

Threet starts school Jan. 1 and will participate in spring practice.

scary thing...after this season he may even be higher...depends on whether his team finds some receivers with hands.

What's amazing is that we couldn't get a QB the past four years and now we might get two top 15 QBs in one class!

Greene County made the AA semis last year beating Lincoln County, Washington County, Laney of Augusta, Cook Co before losing to champion Charlton county by 1 point.

I am EXTREMELY familiar with AA in Georgia as I have had many friends and family at GAC...and my cousin last year was the starting QB for Calhoun and signed a scholarship with Furman.
