with recruiting.

If Chan goes 0-6 then Chan has to go.

The losing streak to UGA is completely unacceptable and the coach should pay with his job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Particularly when you think about this series and how it has played out. UGA has been ripe for the picking in the last three years, yet GT has not capitalized on the opportunity to grab a couple of victories. Unfortunately, wins against UGA are few and far between, 11 in my 41 years on this earth, so it sux to come so close yet come up empty in the last three years.

I agree and I also think the accomplishments of this year are no different from past years. Our competition took a nosedive this year. A 9 win season is no different than the 7 wins of the past.

I don't know how much longer I can give Chan to get it right. Although I do think overall he has done a good job this year. But I do know that each year Chan learns a tough tough lesson at our expense and this year it is playing one QB without a back-up plan.

We thought Chan was stuck on 7 wins a year. After two more disappointing games we may find out he's just stuck on 5 losses.

Whether you agree with their decision or

not, one of the primary reasons that Uga canned Donnan was his 0-3 record against Tech. When you make moves like that, it sends a clear message to the next coach and the fan base about your expectations. If we let 0-6 slide, what does that say about our leadership at the Institute?

That said, I was starting to buy in to CG and am extremely disappointed he didn't get over the hump. We, as a fan base, had moved away from endless debate over whether or not "Chan is the man." I think this loss opens up that can of worms again unfortunately.

I Am A Chan Supporter ....

but we need to beat these guys for a lot of different reasons. 0-5 should be unacceptable for CCG as a coach against them. Hell, Bill Curry started in a much deeper hole than this and he beat them in his fifth and sixth year at a time when VD was at the height of his recruiting prowess.

But in no way would I can the coach of ACC divisonal champs (at the worse). We will find out a lot about Chan's coaching and our players fortitude next weekend. It will take a great coaching job to get them over this loss in a week and get ready to defeat a Wake team that is on a mission.

Ironically Bill Curry was fired after the 1989 season at Alabama after winning the SEC with a 10-2 record and being named SEC Coach of the Year.

Why was he let go? Because he went 0-3 against Auburn. It might have seemed crazy at the time but Gene Stallings went on to post a 5-2 record against Auburn, and more importantly won a national title in 1992.

Maybe Tech could hire Gene Stallings.

You guys are funny....I'll give you til next week and you will have forgotten all about last night's miserable emabrassment to all tech fans...we may/may not beat the almighty powerhouse Wake Forrest but either way yall will be patting Chan on the back for winning a pathetic division and forget all about his inability to "get over the hump" At some point, probably next year Chan will be exposed for what he is...MEDIOCRE!!

We have not shown any improvement over last year, this is the worst UGA team since the 90's probably, and one of the strongest Tech teams since and we couldn't win!

I feel sorry for our defense that played lights out, Calvin who was given little to work with throughout his entire career here and all the other Sr.'s who played awsome last night, RB excluded of course. This guy couldn't even start at Ga Southern! yet we are told he is the best we have!?

FWIW, Curry was not fired at Bammer. He left for the KY job. His final straw came when he recieved death threats after losing to Awbunn...

True. Not fired but certainly run off. It's not like Kentucky was a step anywhere but down.

Dude, Bobby Dodd couldn't have won that game with Reggie in at QB. No amount of coaching can overcome the asstastic performance we just saw. None.

It should be a tribute to our coaches that we nearly won with Reggie that wretched.

Bobby Dodd wouldn't have started Reggie Ball for four years.
