Reggie\'s Attack

Just saw it on tape (was at the game and was not able to see it very well there). But after seeing it over and over I think it was a big deal about nothing. It is clear he was run out of bounds and into the crowded UGA side line where when he came to a stop he found himself as he stood up from a bent over position face to face with someone who did not or couldnot move because of the crowd and he in the moment reacted with a turn around that was described as a swing but looked to me like a simple defensive reaction to a situation where you are not being given the space that is needed to turn around and go back into the game. I know it was a very tense game and the ref. were jumping at everything to keep down a riot but I am convienced under different circumstances in another game there would have been no flag. This is why I think it was blown out of proportion. Just my opinion. And by the way when I first heard about the so called swing, I felt if it were so Chan should throw him out of the game which is what might have happened. But I also am convienced there had been a possible concussion just before the play and it was something that Chan could not take lightly.

Re: Reggie\'s Attack

i can't believe this issue won't die. this is not a flame on you FOBD. i'm just unable to understand why people won't believe that Reggie got hurt in the game.

take it for what it's worth, there's a poster in the insider premium board, who is a student assistant with the football team.

he made a post after the game saying Reggie came out of the game because of a minor concussion and couldn't remember anything about the 2nd quarter.

there have been posts made by people like GEETEELEE who sit on the West stands behind the team bench about how Reggie was nauseasted and dry heaving.

there is an article put out by our SID which quotes the coach, James Butler and Jonathon Smith stating that Reggie was hurt.

there have been articles in the Macon Telegraph which state the Reggie was hurt.
