Sure you're enjoying the change into a new year with your family/friends, but help subdue that bitter ache in the pit of your stomach from the bowl loss today by remembering that you're counting down the end of the era that brought so much division and angst to the fanbase and the beginning of something new under the leadership of a man who appears determined to win a championship.

Sure, September is nine months away - but it ends and begins tonight.

Drink up, Jackets! Happy New Year, because I'm sure it will be for us.

Actually it is a little better than that - the first of September is only 8 months away (9/1 - 1/1 = 8 mos).
