Remember when we were 15th in the ACC?

More evidence that jock sniffing sports journalist don' know squat.

I don’t.
I can’t say enough about how impressed I am about our game tonight.

1. Defensive line that creates pressure and turnovers.
2. LB’s and a Secondary that eliminated the big play and makes tackles.
3. An OL that has matured 3 years in 1 year’s time in pass protection.
4. A RB corps that is a series of tanks running down hill.
5. A WR corps that is so deep it’s ridiculous. They run fantastic routes and they make all the catches.
6. A OC that understands the bubble screen and adjusts to defensive coverages.
7. OBVIOUSLY: A QB that may be the best since Joe Hamilton or S. Jones. You just can’t say enough about Sims. He looked better than Deshaun Watson year 1. Very mature. Didn’t let the INTs get to him. He looked like an experienced veteran in the 2nd half.

FSUs defense was billed top 15 in country. And we wore them slap down.

I’m as high on Georgia Tech Football as I’ve been since we beat the snot out of Miss. St. in The Orange Bowl.

And this is only year 2.

Go Jackets!

How about #22?

Granted, it's just one game and Florida State struggled through a brutal offseason, but Georgia Tech made a convincing statement Saturday night that it doesn't plan on being anybody's punching bag in the ACC this season. The Yellow Jackets, after going 3-9 in Geoff Collins' first season in Atlanta, fought back from a 10-point deficit, overcame three blocked kicks and made one key defensive play after another in the second half to beat Florida State 16-13 on the road in the kind of character win that could take the Ramblin' Wreck a long way this season.

I know where we need to throw the ball when Camp gets the matchup.

Thanks for catching my miss. 3 and 2 would be nice against these teams. Anything better and the Coach of the Year is a lock.
Before yesterday I would have been satisfied to see us (1) not losing to an FCS team, (2) not getting shut out at home, (3) not losing to UGA by the largest margin ever – three all-time lows somehow accomplished in the same season last year.

The magic of COVID accomplished 2/3 of those goals in 2020, and now with the obvious genuine offensive improvement yesterday... why not dream a little higher?

I always think we can beat anyone.
