Multiple sources tell KNWA that Tommy Tuberville willl be Arkansas' next head football coach. There is still a chance the situation can change but KNWA firmly believes the Auburn coach has agreed to take over for Houston Nutt. KNWA will have more details tonight at ten.

I SURE hope we haven't missed our window of opportunity with Muschamp.

Muschamp will apparently be the

interim HC and leading candidate for the job.

If you read the second link the Auburn AD states he has not given permission to Arkansas to tall to TT and that this permission is required. Interesting reports.

I predict we dont hire Muschamp, hopefully the older alumni wont let that happen and I bet you Auburn doesn't either. I believe I read earlier on the Arkansas board that one media outlet said Tubberville would bring both Coordinators.

At the very least we no longer have to be concerned with hiring a dog.

I wonder how much money 'Bama will kick in to send Tuberville to Arkansas?:laugher:

Why TT would consider leaving a successful team, a pay raise, and living in Auburn to move to Fayetteville Arkansas escapes me.

I think Muschamp could be the next Bob Stoops or Greg Schiano. Its unfortunate he's UGA product because he could do well here. There would always be too much prejudice against him, no matter if he regularly beat Georgia. Too many people (mental midgets) just couldn't handle that.

Mcwhorter was a dawg too, but he seemed to be the fan favorite when O'liar left. What's the difference now. As long as Muschamp wins does it matter that he went to ugag?

Thanks for bringing Mac's name up. He is a pleasant memory. I have always wondered why he was not considered for a HC position.

Rumor has had it for a while that TT has had a grudge agianst the AU admin for quite a few years, ever since that interviewing embarassment. He's just been biding his time.

From other thread:

I don't believe it for a second. Tuberville is from Arkansas and Jerry Jones is reported to have helped broker the deal BUT Tuberville's agent is notorious for leaking stories in order to negotiate better deals for his client.

I believe Tuberville is just looking for a raise and who can blame him - the way Louder back-doored him with Petrino, he should be trying to hit him back in the pockets every chance he gets.

He's not going anywhere. The fans love him, he's fine with the administration. It's Bobby Louder that he has the problem with.

I though Bobby Louder wasn't there anymore? If not him then who got fired over that whole interview thing?

Reports from Arkansas shock Tuberville

Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville was sitting on a deer stand in rural Arkansas early this morning. Cell phones, of course, work even in deer stands if they're not too far out in the sticks.
Tuberville, who will be back in Auburn around lunchtime today, said he was incredulous when he learned after emerging from the woods Thursday night of the reports flooding out of Arkansas that he was on the verge of agreeing to become the Razorbacks' coach.
Tuberville didn't want to be quoted, but he had some strong words for those responsible for those reports. Neither he nor his agent, Jimmy Sexton, Tuberville said, has had any contact at all with Arkansas officials about the job vacated by Houston Nutt.
By the way, he and assistants Eddie Gran and Steve Ensminger were planning to hunt ducks but ended up hunting deer. Gran bagged a deer. The other two have struck out so far

sounds like they already have the contracts signed to me :laugher:

How disappointed would the Huntsville readers (all seven of them) been if that article hadn't reported on the bounty of their coaches' hunt?

Ouch! you make us sound like some redneck outpost like Macon or Columbus or something. Huntsville is one the most highly educated cities in the southeast.
