This is the muffed snap before the game winner. Shouldn't this be a false start and 5 yard penalty instead of an 11 yard loss? Everyone moves before the center snaps it.

You can pause the video and press . to go forward one frame and , to go backward one frame.

As far as I recall, punt returners are taught to never ever field a punt on or inside the 5 fair catch or otherwise.

So while a fair catch would have been better than fielding the punt, the preferred option is to just get out of the way.

Didn't he catch it at the 10-ish? I thought you fair caught it there if it wasn't over your head.

Yea, seems like a very odd place to remove a rule protecting a player, considering where we are now with WR's and QB's

Yeah, I'm 50/50 on whether we are fast approaching flag football or the opening scene from The Last Boy Scout.

My dad’s season tickets were right next to his parents. His mom would bury her head in her hands for every punt return. It was awesome. Great, great people.
 
Check out our first kick return. Blocker right in front of ref get speared in the head and knocked out of the game and who knows how much more. I hope the ACC will review.
 
Ole buddy celebrating the hit like he did something was funny to me. Of course you laid the wood bro, he was mid catching the ball, standing flat footed, and not even looking at you. A middle schooler could have done that.

Well, he can call for a fair catch and then no hit at all is allowed. That's a pretty good piece of protection, I'm guessing he'll use it next time.

Really good job holding onto the ball though.

Isn't that what a fair catch is for? I don't think you're allowed to get a bubble to catch the ball and also the chance to return it.
