Even though the Atlantic Coast Conference has become the greatest football league in the world (or some say), the commissioner of the lowly sec, Mike Slive has declared that it's his primary goal to get as many conference teams as he can to play in a New Year's Day bowl game.

It's just a darn good feeling to know that the all and powerful Johnny S. and his boyz get it! As we sit back in awe of his greatness, we have learned on blind faith that placing an avearage at best team from "virginia or the carolinas" in a meaningless charlotte game is the true measure of conference greatness.

If they could play this thing in the Greensboro Coliseum, they would do it.

That is what separates the SEC from our league. The ACC made the NC State and Virginia happy by allowing the bowls to do their will. The SEC would tell the bowls EXACTLY what team they are gonna get and that would be decided by finishing order.

Surely Swofford had some CLUE from the bowl commitees who they were going to select. If he didn't, he should have gotten canned. Now, he should just be canned for being asleep at the wheel.

Am I jealous of the SEC? You bet I am.
