Edit: Looks like he and his family simply moved out for the summer. Richt is a fine man and I appreciate & respect him immensely. I got a potential kick out of him moving permanently to avoid Dawg fans from throwing bricks through the window after 409 yards 5 touchdowns...

What’s the most relaxing thing you did this summer?

Johnson: I went to Scotland with Coach [Mike] Smith from the Falcons. [Minority Falcons owner] John Imlay hosted us in Scotland for a few days, and we played golf and we had a great time. I had never played there before. We played St. Andrews. We played Muirfield, Troon, Prestwick, North Berwick. Mr. Imlay’s well-connected in Scotland.
Richt: Sleep. I actually took a couple naps this summer. Highly unusual for me. Anywhere from 30 minutes to, I might have maxed out at an hour and a half, here and there. It was during vacation. Even during vacation I usually don’t do that. It was good.
What’s something you weren’t able to get to?

Johnson: I don’t know that there was anything, really. I’d love to be able to spend a little more time in the mountains back at home [in North Carolina], but we can’t ever seem to find time to do that. We got up there for about four or five days, but that was it.
Richt: Our goal this summer was to do a whole lot of nothing as far as family and vacation time. We spent time at the lake. [Lake Hartwell] We have a home there. Actually, my family moved into the lake home as soon as school ended. I’ve been commuting [to Athens], actually.

man coach looks great

No need to make a triple post man, the edit button exists for a reason.

And yes, CPJ looks nice when he dresses up formally. His suit does look wrinkly, but do you think the dude who wears his Georgia Tech shirt and khakis to other coach events while others wear suits cares?

This picture says a lot. Notice pretty boy Mark Richt in a custom suit, complete with the pocket handkerchief (whatever its called) accenting the suit, fidgeting with his buttons and eyeing his rival Paul Johnson, who is dressed in a simple, no-nonsense suit with the classic navy-gold tie, eyes straight ahead. PJ isn't one for show. Sorry to use a cliche, but he is "all business," and I love it.

CPJ is the man. Give him a few years with GT. He's going to be regarded as one of the best college football coaches of this era.

Richt should get some rogaine stat. That five-head is becoming pretty prominent.

I think it's interesting that their answers to several questions were so similar.

I think Mark Richt may be starting to get lazy as he is getting older. This could benefit us in the comming years, if his off the field lazyness is also present in practice/games/recruiting.... Here is what I am reading from him in this.

"Sleep. I actually took a couple naps this summer"

"Our goal this summer was to do a whole lot of nothing "

"In a recliner with TiVo. That’d be about the best."

"I love just kicking back and watching the game and let somebody else sweat. "

"try to incorporate some kind of [recruiting] dead period in the summer"

Why does he want the dead period? - two more weeks to be lazy.

Im not hating on him. I love to be lazy and do nothing. Just think it was odd that all his answers had comments that suggested lazyness.

His house is on my road. I saw him yesterday coming in from this meeting. Still wearing his shirt and tie at 6:30. I briefly thought about taking him out. I don't get to see him too much. I do see his wife a good bit. I almost feel sorry for the guy. They built this house not too long ago and a couple of weeks ago some sort of beetle that had been in hibernation came out of his hardwood floors and they're having to tear out all flooring and a lot of appliances.

Powder post beetles? I had them in floor joists in a house in Huntsville. When they emerge, they turn wood to paper - literally a post to powder. Seems the eggs are laid in live wood and then hibernate until the environment is right for them to hatch - sometimes 20+ years later!

If this is what it is, it's bad stuff. It can be treated, but I don't know if you'll want that stuff in your house.

If you live on the same road as Richt I hope to God you have a big GT flag flying on your house somewhere.

Tell me about it... CPJ/Master Yoda, you are in prime location to rub in the rivalry.
My road is a dead end and he is at the end. He has to go by my house everytime he wants to go home. I'm getting one of those magnets for my mailbox. So yes, it's prime. I imagine he won't be at this house too much during f ball season, but I've heard they are thinking about moving up here permanently.
