He drove to Eason’s house on Sunday morning, and while Jacob slept in Richt visited with his parents and sister.

“Then I went in there and woke him up and surprised him,” Richt said. “It was kinda fun that I snuck up on him.”

This reeks of desperation. Richt is showing the administration how important he is in the recruitment of Eason, who is good enough to determine the fate of the UGA coaching staff, as he is apparently the next QB Herschel.

Might work, though. Unless UGA loses to us, I think they'll let him stick around. If he loses to a 3-8 or 4-7 GT team, which could absolutely happen, he's done.

I think he is done anyway. But, I agree, if we beat UGa (which would be a miracle), the dwag fans would run him out. Richt's support in Athens is almost completely eroded. Not sure even Eason can save Richt but they do make a nice couple.

If by some miracle we were to beat UGAG, he would be fired. Pinning your hopes on one recruit to save a program is not a good proposition.
