Received word today we've lost Charles M. "Chip" Pallman..... I can still hear the late Jack Griffin, Chip's position coach, going "Ohhhhhh, Chippppppper....." when Chip would drop a pass in practice.

It's not been a good week for TechExes.

In the span of 4 or 5 years, I've now lost both of the punters who made me look good, IOW, they had great leaping ability. For those who missed it, Tommy Chapman passed 3 or 4 years ago (pre-COVID).

Tommy Chapman roomed next to me on the third floor of Glenn dorm my freshman year. Nice guy, funny,he even organized a swimming trip to Piedmont Park on the night of my birthday in March '66. He will be missed.

RIP Tommy!

I remember Al Ciraldo’s description of Chip about to punt, “Here’s Chip Pallman back to punt out of Jacksonville, Florida….” I remember thinking he had a darn good leg!

RIP Chip!

Hate this…way too young. Tommy The Toe was excellent!

Severe senior moment here! I was remembering Tommy Carmichael, not Tommy Chapman! My bad, sorry.

Snappers live or die on athletic ability of the punter.......

I had Tommy Chapman's chin strap.

Strange admission. Guess it could've been his jock strap.

Saw where Larry Fonts passed. A Dodd stud from the 50s and a presence in Atlanta
