Just got the word through the Letterwinners' grapevine that Eric & Steve both passed in the last coupla days.

Eric, IIRC originally from Tyler, TX, still holds the record for tackles, 28, in a game against Ugag in 1967.

Steve, out of Chamblee HS, originally played DE before switching to TE in 1969 & 1970.

Eric's OBIT

Knew Steve well back in the day.

Both tough ball players. Eric was indeed from Tyler. Steve is in the Sun Bowl picture we often reference when we have uni discussions.

May they R.I.P.

Getting harder to believe some of this.

Charlie - any idea where the road guided them after GT?

You're right..... Have already lost waaaay too many guys I played with.

Steve's Obit

"Employed by Cooper B-Line, Inc, he made his career as a professional sales consultant in the electrical distribution field."

Will post Eric's Obit when it's released to us. No idea what Eric did after GT.
