Sad. Mike always did a good job and will be missed. He almost feels like an honorary voice of the team after all this time.

He wasn't the only good thing about Raycom though... The year is 2008. Just when I thought I couldn't get more jazzed for a noon kickoff between Wake Forest and Virginia, Rascal Flatts hits me with that anthem of college football. "Bob That Head", yall.

Wow, he really does seem way too young. Not many TV guys have reached 'iconic voice' status like the radiomen of yore, but he's one whose voice instantly made me think 'two mediocre teams from NC are playing.'
