RN is a proven winner at big-time D-1 programs. Knows how to win and recruit. He does have some baggage but he has been largely exonerated. Come on guys, cut the man some slack! Stop being such prisses.

PJ does nothing to excite me. Triple option?? Boring. And besides, this is the 21st century! Finally, do we know if he can recruit?
 
The thing that gets my about RN isn't so much his shady history (although he has left 2 programs in shambles) as it is the fact that his best years were when he was playing w/ the previous coaches players. The longer he stayed at each program the worse they both got.
 
I'd take Chris Hatcher over Neuheisal, but I'd be fine with him.
 
I disagree.

Shady stuff + programs getting worse over time = bad for Tech

I AGREE.
Believe it or not, he is the ONE guy that would put us in a position to beat Ugag every year. Instantly.

Tony Blowhart (The Dawg he is) is already knocking him, we all know why that is. ;)

We beat ugag with him.

I talked to my source, and we agree, GT fans are fickle, but once he got here and started kicking the dog, everything changes. He could be our Spurrier!!

No doubt, in my mind, he is a better mature person now than he was at a very young age.

We will see though.
 
IF it came down to RN, I think he would, quite possibly, because of his past, run the cleanest program we have ever had.
 
From the other threads, if money is an issue, then RN is the way to go. He has the pop factor, has no buyout of a contract to deal with, and would be a relative bargain, at least for a few years.
 
I'm fine with him if he's on a short leash with a lot of oversight.

My impression is that keeping him on a short leash with a lot of oversight is going to impede his ability to perform.

That's just an impression.

How is everybody so high up on RN?? His checkered past is bad, but I'm not even worried about that. How can you see he's a proven winner?
I mean he's a proven winner in the first year with other coach's recruits, but he has a terrible, yet consistent, track record of leaving teams way worse off than they started
 
I too am dumbfounded by the interest in RN. To me, fundamentally, it's an issue of character. Character is revealed, not learned. And RN has revealed that his character is lacking at best. He will bend/break any rule if he thinks he won't get caught. Is that really what we want to Tech?
 
Hell, I would go as far to say that I would take Chan over this guy! At least CCG runs a clean program.
