Roddy Jones Previews GT (and Vpisu)

While I do agree with the the over, I really think the floor should be bowl eligibility. Roddy brought up a great point, however, about the turnovers we got last year and how we can't bank on that since it usually regresses back to the mean.

I've really been hoping that was due to a point of emphasis from Thacker. While there is generally a significant amount of luck with turnovers, there have been certain DCs over the years who have seemed to always generate high turnover numbers. Vintage VT Bud Foster and golden era FSU Mickey Andrews come to mind.

I re-watched the UNC game last night. I had forgotten how well prepared we looked for that game. We had a game plan and executed it well. That being said, it was about the luckiest win I've ever seen. There were so many plays where the ball bounced our way. I mean Josh Downs dropping that ball in the end zone was emblematic that we got the breaks in that one. Though there might have been games we lost where the ball bounced away from us, but then again I'm not going to go back and watch the losses. Looking forward to fresh, new football. It won't be long now!

If I remember right, that happened with like 4 minutes left in the game. And when we took over on downs, we drove inside the redzone while running out the clock.
But I do agree, we got some luck in some of our wins. Against Pitt, Sims hit defenders in the hands like 4 times and they never caught it. Against, VT, we got an accidental block from a ref on Pyron's dive for the endzone to go ahead.
