I'm gonna have to agree with the OP. QB had way too much time to pass , bad angles, etc. I'm glad we won, but our defense looked like they were playing a shitty FBS team instead of an FCS team that has been active for 4 years.

I'm aggravated because it shows a lack of fundamentals. We just had a SoCon qb go nuts on us. What the defense just showed will not be pretty against other teams.

Bad thing is is that he didn't even take advantage of what was there. Simmons gave up a TD route on the inside towards the end of the game that a P5 qb would have put away no problem. I'm sure it's tough to dot the i's and play to your own level after traveling overseas, but it's frustrating to see big play opportunities on defense with no real faith that we're going to bust open a dive for a touchdown on O.

Whatever. Bigcries L. Around, we will stomp Vandy next week. Maybe PJ will draw up another a back TD pass on the sidelines again.
