Looks like it might be legit, might not be, if true has us playing UVA in our Thursday night game this year... gotta improve our chances with them somehow, and we tend to do alright on Thursdays.

And if true we'll be playing UNC and Duke before the trip to the cesspool, so that should give our boys time to heal up.

If this schedule is true - an early assessment of our season:
Should Win - Samford, Troy State, Maryland, Duke, all at
home
Good Chance at a W - UVA at home, at NCSU, at UNC
Probable Underdogs - ND and Miami at home, at Va Tech,
Clemson, and UGA
We need 4 W's from the first group, at least 2 from
the second, and at least 2 from the third to go
8-4.
No reason to think the season should have less than 8 W's, hopefully more. Need 4-5 W's in first 6 games. November doesn't look so bad with the Triangle Trifecta before UGA.

Sweet! 7 home games. I guess the season ticket price will rise a little but looks like a great schedule.

Like someone posted on the VT board, that OOC schedule looks an awful lot like the ones put together for the SEC.

I thought we played VA Tech up there last year. Are we playing up there again? I thought they would rotate.

No...an SEC team (except Tenn) would not schedule a Notre Dame and UGA-caliber team OOC...NEVER.

Our schedule will be one of the ten toughest in the country again this year.

If someone wants to pick on a schedule...look at NCState.

True, the toughest ooc game uga plays is Ga. Tech, and we should be very tough for those bastahds. I don't know, and don't care how far back they scheduled Colorado. If Adams lets D Evans continue this type of scheduling (as in one more every year of the bcs variety), uga will be an even tougher opponent.

Kind of a strange schedule... so many early home games, and so few late home games. Duke is the only home game out of our final 4 games. Just a little weird.

Hopefully we can take advantage of the early home games and get off to a good start with a 3-1, or better yeat a 4-0.

Yeah, they had to do it this way so we wouldn't have to travel to UVA, VT, and UM in the same season every year. Now it's @ clem, @vt to offset home UM/UVA

Wow, what a tough schedule. If we had Wake's or NC State's Schedule We would probably go 10-2.

I would say we need to go 8-4 at least. Our schedule is so hard that 90% of the teams in the country would pray to go 7-5 against it, but Chan can't afford another 7-5 season. He has to improve and has to do it this year while we still have Calvin.

He better get this year right

Funny thing, before FSU beat VT like they stole something from them in the ACC champ game, there was talk of us and WF switching divisions to even things up. To think, we could be where we only have to worry about 3 or 4 games a year and the rest are 75%+ wins in most years.

True though, with either of those schedules we would not have much of a problem getting to 8+ wins. Its our lot I guess.

I personally like tough games like ND and UGA, that "technically" don't have to be played(eventhough most would argue UGA is a must, and I'd AGREE) especially if we win them. However, people who look at # of wins, instead of # of quality wins versus # of quality loses get all bent out of shape when we lose games that would have been a 1/10 change that we win in the first place. As long as we beat the teams that are worse than us, win more than we lose against teams that are even with us, and keep it respectable with teams that are better than us(maybe win 1 or 2) we shoudln't complain too much...

But that would take the fun out of it wouldn't it. We will go into games against VT, Miami, UGA, and ND thinking we are going to win, and I wouldn't have it any other way, but when we lose we talk about how the sky is falling and our Athletic Department is in ruins. I would be satisfyed this season with no more NC State, Virginia, Utah or VT efforts(man, that's a lot). We are good enough to make some noise if we would just practice hard and play our game. I think Chan should come up with a slogan or something that the players can say to each other during the games that means something along the lines of what VT does with the Lunch Pale. We need to be a blue collar team. Even if we don't win it all we will at least demand respect with that attitude.
