Against Miami, UNC, & Duke we rushed for over 200 yards. Against ND, VT, Louisville we rushed for less than 100 yards. The outlier is NCST which we had two defensive TD’s. Pretty much tells the tale on what needs to happen Friday night. The question is can our QB’s & receivers make UGA respect our passing game enough to not load the box every play. We’ll see …..

I've got mixed feelings on this. I feel like we need to win it through the air, but at the same time, UGA has been suspect against the run in several games this season.

Why do you think this? Genuinely curious. I personally like the idea of rushing for 250 and two defense scores. Haynes King throws for 2 TDs and Philo rushes for 2 TDs. 45-17. Would be okay with me.

Because I’m sure UGA is watching what NCSt did to stop our run game, and will be able to do it better than they did. Hopefully we have a solution for it by Friday.

what's all this "17" stuff? too high that's what's all.

Fair.
Counter: Brent Key and staff saw how NCSU stopped our run game, inferred how uga would try to implement that plan with their personnel, and countered the inferred plan with the Tech Plan. You see @coit, all roads lead To Hell With georgia.

I agree on the running game will be important. Last year we could not stop Georgia's running game and while we played well, it really hurt us. They are going to try to impose their will, as Key said in his press conference, again. Their QB is a much better play action passer than pocket passer. We need to turn him into a pocket passer. On offense, also important for us to run per stats as shown.

We'll need a complete game period and we haven't had many of those this year. Ugay loses when beck shits the bed because he's thinking about Lambo maintenance and what dudes he'll sleep with after the game. We can't count on him delivering that performance though so we just need to take care of business, earn the W and walk away talking smack for the next 12 months.

The success of our run game has hinged on a healthy Haynes King and and Jamal Haynes. We all know or suspect King's situation but I think I noticed Jamal lacking that spring in his step against NCSt. Is he healthy? I don't think our OL can push their DL around between the tackles. We'll need to excel on the outside.

Ugag has the athletes to stifle our recent situational QB play.

As another posted mentioned, GT will need a complete game this week for success. Will need to control TOP, and in order to do that, need to run the ball effectively. I have confidence CBK and CBF will have a good gameplan to mix things up and to try and keep the UGAg D off-balance. It will just come down to execution and hopefully they aren't able to "out athlete" the Jackets too much.

We for sure need to have success running the ball. However, we got to get some big plays in the air as well. Just my two cents. I think the mutts will be shocked on how well we will move the ball on them. It's our defense that needs to make the big plays on Friday night.

Running the ball will have a lot to do with the field conditions. Rain on Thursday could play into the run game. I would love to the GT run some more options to make the Dawgs think. Then down field for the TD. We have the men down field to catch the ball and run for TD. Dawgs have some speed downfield.

But, Dawgs are thinking about who they play next week at the Benz, for the Redneck Conference Bowl.

I do believe if we can keep UGA under 150 yards on the ground and around 4.0 YPC our run defense would have done their job. Just based on what I've seen this year I do not have much confidence in that transpiring. Our pass protection has been excellent this year and Philo can throw some dimes, so I am hopeful in our passing game. Our run game and ST's play are the big question marks for me. I do believe UGA will get a lot of home cooking so if we can have an advantage in the TO margin, we can make it interesting.

We need some rich alums to park a few Lambos near their athletic dorm and leave the keys in them.
