Ryan Rodwell

Career high in yards per punt (43.5) puts him 3rd in the conference this year. Pinned them inside the 20 fourteen times. Only 5 touch-backs. 11 punts over 50 yards. Definitely much improved.
 
Not bad for someone that got benched.....for one punt (which was a disaster)
 
He has been very good this year. I was concerned early, but he turned it around and the roll out punt this year has worked out pretty well for us.

Someone please explain the thought behind the roll out punt. Is it to give our guys more time to get down field? Is a punt / run option type of thing? Does it give a better angle on the punt?
