Sabino rules out GT (per AJC this morning)

GT is out according to the AJC this morning w/ Sabino. See the quote below (ajc.com):

Sabino narrows his list to two
Etienne Sabino of Dr. Michael M. Krop High in Miami, the fourth-best middle linebacker in the nation according to Scout.com, is no longer considering Georgia Tech.
“I’m down to Ohio State and Southern Cal,” Sabino said Tuesday evening.
Sabino, who also eliminated Florida, Miami and North Carolina from consideration, said he plans to announce his decision on, or around, his birthday on November 13.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker is also working on having his commitment televised live on ESPN.
“That’s a possibility,” he said. “It’s something I’m looking at.”
Sabino had nothing negative to say about Tech.
“I’ve just always felt good about Ohio State,” Sabino said. “And I had a good trip out to Southern Cal. I have a good feeling about those two schools.”

Oh well. On to the next potential recruit...Any insight on where Gerrell Robinson is w/ us....Looks like he might be due for a visit in Nov....guess that would be the GT vs. UGA game?
 
It was always a long shot...great kid though and I wish him well. Fortunately for us he was not a "must have". We are full at that position and he would have been a nice cherry on top.

Hard to believe, but we will have 13 scholarship LB's on roster next year...and that does not count Cooper Taylor of Marist who could grow into a LB. To top it off, 9 of the 13 will be freshman or sophomores!

The coaches are highly focused on TE, DL, and OL for the rest of they way...maybe throwing in a CB and a WR.

So what do these guys have on their helmet --a photo of Dr. Krop? What if Dr. Krop is/was a proctologist --would this be on their helmet?

Krop IS an orthodontist. The team is the Lightning. Their uniforms look like this (note the Chargers-style helmet):

Those are some ugly uniforms. Like the helmet but the uni's :puke:
 
The helment is nice --the uni's not too bad either. I've seen a whole lot worse --college and pros included.
 
On the field I totally agree. If they are not NFL material then perhaps a mistake.

I am a GT grad but if my son had to choose between GT and UF and did not want to be an engineer, I would steer him to UF. Many more academic options and the coeds are MUCH better.
