Interesting. Especially after all the week 1 talk about how bad we were. While I don't think we're the second best, you can make a case for about anyone as no. 3.

Although, we only have one or two really bad teams, which I don't think any other conference can say.

I agree with the ACC being no. 2 nationally...

A lot of youngsters here on this board are taking Miami lightly or dissing on them. Big John had it right by saying he was more pessimistic on our chances against Miami this Thursday night after seeing them against VT..anyone that says they don't think Miami is good, is either ignorant or immature. You can't just say that their defense is great and offense lousy either...Although their offense is not scoring a lot of points and is very young, they have a 1, 2 punch at running back as good as anyone in the country and 2 very mobile QB's that will give defenses fits. Their offense does just enough to win and they play lights out defense as in their MO has always been. Their recruiting has been best in the country the last 2 years and it is showing. P.J. is certainly impressed and he doesn't dole out praise to just anyone.

Miami, Fsu or Unc could compete with anyone in the nation this year and for sure will be a threesome next year that I think will be better than any other 3 from any other conference in 2009. Recruiting the last couple of years has finally elevated these 3 to top 20 calibre this year i.m.h.o. and next year to top 15 calibre teams. I agree with the guys at Espn that the Fsu-Uf game will be close...

The ACC is getting better each week and finally playing like the conference that has put more players in the NFL than any other conference the last 3 years..Of course there still is and will be an Sec bias in the media....They will be forced into a different slant once Gt and Fsu starts beating UF and Ugag again. Which is coming sooner quicker than later...

Sagarin is drunk.

Even tho the ACC is the most competitive conf in the land. The top 2 teams out of the SEC and Big 12 would destroy any body in the ACC.

The ACC doesnt have one dominant team that's relevant on the national stage.

I think the ACC has more good teams than any other conference. But our problem is we don't have any great teams. Next year will be the year the ACC re-emerges as a power conference.

He's not ranking the top 2 teams from each conference. He's ranking the conference as a whole, which seems to validate his system.

I think you are right on. Both tailbacks healthy for Miami scares the crap out of me.

I think the game will rest on mistakes, tackling(esp @LB) and if we can take advantage of overpursuit/missed assignments on D.
