Actually, what the BCS uses has us as #12 and the mutts as #18. The predictor, which uses point totals, has us as #26 and the mutts as #22. The headline rating is a combination of the two.

The short answer is our three-point win against Gardner-Webb and our big loss to UNC. Our large-margin victories against MSU and Duke, the #109 and #59 teams, don't help much. Computers unfortunately cannot take simple things into account like third-string quarterbacks playing or fluke turnovers.
 
We have 4 wins versus top 30 teams, the ONLY team to with as many or more is Oklahoma with 5!!! Everyone else in the country has 3 or less. Pretty awesome!!!
 
Yeah, i am going to have to say that any ranking where the three teams that are ranked ahead of us and have all lost to us, is BUSH.
