Samford gets quality QB transfer from Ark

Alex Mortensen finally made his much anticipated transfer from Arkansas official. The rSo from Landmark Christian in metro Atlanta has decided to play for the Samford Bulldogs this Fall. Mortensen was talking about transfering even before he went through the Razorbacks Spring training program where he apparently ended the Spring as 3rd string. Mitch Mustain will be joining Arkansas this Fall so the lights were very dim for Alex with Ark.
Gotta figure that Mortensen will be the starter against Ga Tech. This move should give Samford a real competitive QB who should be much happier in Birmingham.

Maybe now, we don't pitch a shutout. I am not too worried.
Good for him though. I don't blame him for wanting to play.

He chose Arkansas over UNC, NC St., and Louisville. We signed Taylor Bennett and Kyle Manley that year.
