of cruelest losses. In no particular order here is the list:

1) fsu, 03
2) ugag 97
3) ugag 78
4) fsu 92
5) Nd to Col. 91 OB.

From a historical perspective, the '92 loss to fsu
was probably the worst due to the collapse of the program afterwords. I feel confident that this years team will actually improve after Saturday's bitter dissapointment. There is a lot of character on this team!

Your thoughts?

I pretty much agree with your list...here is mine...

1) 1978 Ugag
2) 1992 FSU
3) 2003 FSU
4) 2001 klimpsum
5) 1983 Ugag

...but the loss to FSU Saturday night was....by far....the most unnecessary loss I have seen.

There was no way we should have lost that game. And it was absolutely not the defense's fault. They played well enough to win.

But the haphazard second-half play-calling by Chan Gailey and his continued throttling of our offense was the real culprit.

These players played their hearts out. They are ready to win these games. It is time for Gailey to quit holding them back.

And it is getting old to win the first half each week and then get out-coached with good halftime adjustments by the other team while our coaches sit on our hands and let it happen.

This team is way past ready to win. It is time for the coaches to catch up to the players....not the other way around.

'97 to UGA

nothing else comes close.

The middle of 'SIAR,B!'. I never gave us a chance, until Charles Wiley goes in for the TD off right tackle with the Full House pkg with 48 seconds left. The 2 point conversion - Hamilton to Mike Sheridan.

The kickoff out of bounds by Frakes. The non-call clip my gradmother saw on Rodgers. The pick by Tilleman. The late flag (Hines Wards quote in the paper - I still have the paper - "I had to beg him to throw the flag") Then the TD over Kofi Smith. The mongrels jumping up and down on our GT.

I don't think I left my room that weekend.

I will never forget that pain.

BTW, Nice Hijack bee-ware. Hope they put you probabtion for that one.
