Q: If you were a high-school kid coming out, do you think Georgia Tech is the place you’d end up again?

A: Right now, they don’t really throw the ball. So if you’re trying to make plays in the receiving game, 10 throws a game, that’s not going to really (do it). Unless they’re throwing all 10 to you, like they did “Bay Bay” (former All-American receiver Demaryius Thomas).

Dawg Blogs will probably have a field day with this and whatever, öööö em.
I just wish we could do a bit more to get him engaged in the program.

Ironically, it is the position that you are most likely to get drafted on our team. Maybe just edged out by safety, but I doubt it.

Correct. We've had 4 WR's get drafted under CPJ (Thomas, Hill, Smelter, Waller) and 3 DB's.

Unfortunately, Hill was last seen in the CFL as of last year; Smelter has one career reception and has bounced around, most recently landing with the Jaguars. Waller is still suspended, I guess.

Meh. Tough to get mad at someone for stating the obvious. You can certainly have a good career with us at WR but if you're a Calvin-type talent I wouldn't want to play for us either.

Seriously Ken why ask the ööööing question? But i mean he did still say he might come here

If I were Calvin I'd come to GT. He said "unless they are throwing all 10 to you like Bay Bay." If you're NFL material, you are going to get every ball thrown to you, and you are going to get 10 touchdowns a game. You will absolutely love it.

Calvin Johnson would have never, ever, ever played for Paul Johnson. Let's be honest.

Only way would be like with Thomas, where he came to play for Gailey and ended up finishing with CPJ. And our offense would have been ridiculous.

Why get all butthurt about this? Any WR recruit we get is going to be well aware of the fact, it isn't a secret.
Seriously - just because we stick our head in the sand about this doesn't mean anyone else does. Teams that lead the nation in rushing typically don't also have receivers that lead the nation in receiving.

Was it Calvin or Bay Bay who said if they had to do it over again they would pick Tech again because ...
"single coverage, baby" or WTTE.
