Some of you people live in a land of fantasies. Ole Miss was in the playoffs and ended up in the final 4 with the roster and coaching staff he built. They lost by 4 to Miami and you think they would have played worse with Kiffin calling plays rather than a brand new OC in Charlie Weiss, Jr?

I like Kiffen and have been following him a long time because the enemy of my enemy is my friend. We all want every SEC coach to be legit and beat those turds up the road. But Kiffen simply has fallen short every time. Yes, he finally had a good enough team to do something last year but that team ultimately lost. And he left on his own so he gets zero credit. I have no problem if he were to win the next 3 Natties because that means someone else wouldn’t have.

You guys are piling on Norvell way too hard. They went undefeated and got left out of a 4 team playoff. The immediate after effect was he lost more than half his team between the NFL, eligibility, or portal. You can’t just blink and overcome all that turmoil. Yes, it’s time they settle down and become relevant again so that’s what he’s trying to do this year. He’s a decent coach who got dealt a crap sandwich and then had it spiral. We kinda went thru 4 years of that ourselves.

I thought FSU was more of a reloading place. Much like the folks in Athens...

He didn't leave on his own. He took the LSU job and wanted to stay for the Ole Miss natty run but they said no.

They may never win the big one; few do. But I don't count year as him "not winning the big one" because he had set that team up for a run and they lose their head coach and OC...when the strength of their team was their offense.
