I was looking at the scedule and I tell you if we lose more than 3 games I am going to be REAL disappointed.

I honestly think we should be undefeated when FSU gets here. On paper Ugag is the 2nd toughest team we play. It will come down to the Clemson game. If we lose that one it is going to be a long year.

I was worried about NC but now w/ durant gone that should set them back. NCST may be tough but we should be able to get the job done by the time we play them.

The fact is this is NOT a tough schedule. We SHOULD have a good year.

this has been talked about on the Hive, but the UConn game is just a waste. Would been nice if we played a big 12 or pac-10 team to test out our defense. +

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">But the argument against that is Maryland last year. If they would have played ANY legit team they would have lost and not finished in the top 10. IF you run the table a weak schedule will not hurt you. It will hurt you if you lose to Ugag and FSU and are asking for the BCS at-large.

I dont have a problem with the UConn game b/c we have a new QB and I would rather have an easy win than a learning loss. We have added AU for the next few years and that will satisfy the people that say we have a weak schedule.

law_bee, i agree with both your posts, and I've already predicted 10 wins. "Predicted" just means I'll be surprised at fewer wins. And UConn is, technically, our only breather; so I'll take it.. ( Duke, as a conference game, is not a breather, especially at that point in the season.)

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">I think this is a tough schedule, Law. We have a bunch of tough games on the road and that's what makes it tough. UGAG,Clem,MD,UNC,NCState...These are 5 teams that will have a decent chance of beating us when they are at home. I'm not saying we won't be favored, but it'll be tough to win those games. Throw in the FSU game, an unknown in BYU (they'll be a helluva test for our defense), and UVA (who always gives us fits, except 2000).

Even Vandy usually gives their SEC brethren a fight before they collapse in the 2nd half. The only sure things on this schedule for Dook, UConn and probably Wake. Even Wake is getting tough with Jim Grobe as the coach.

I must say that I disagree with you on this one. Lack of GREAT teams on the schedule doesn't make it a non-tough schedule.

I don't mind playing a team like UCONN. The only reason we are doing it is because of Randy Edsall, our former DC. But why there. They would get a good payout coming down to BDS@HGF. Do they even have a stadium?
Well, at least we'll be 2-0 going to Clemson.
