Scheduling rule changes

Came here to post this. Swofford made sure to say that CPJ was wrong in "some of his information," but miraculously the rules were made to address that incorrect information.

“Now, Paul was not accurate in some of his comments, I can assure you of that, but it did at least lead to some (information) that we brought up with the schools, that they want to have some things in there that sort of guaranteed, if you will, that one school wasn’t absorbing more situations where they had an open date before their game than others,” Swofford said.

öööö you, John Swofford.

ööööing finally. Swofford's sidestepping aside, credit to CPJ for carrying the torch here. IIRC FSU/Clemson/VT should also be thanking him for this (despite GT being the most afflicted). Next up is teams getting FCS opponents the week before us which will undoubtedly increase above what it already is.

This will probably add a few complications and iterations to the schedule making.

Paul Johnson is literally my favorite coach of all time, just because of the legendary tides of butthurt that precede him into each conference meeting. You can smell the fear on this idiot Swofford; in his own mind he's got to admit Paul's right; he has egg on his face as a result and is blaming Paul Johnson for all of it. That's power.

It's like CPJ is the only alpha in a conference full of betas.

Swofford basically said "yes this is a problem and yes we'll fix it but no we weren't doing it by request," which is of course a lie, but he had to say it to cover his ass.

So who wants to bet that the one team that always gets the extra prep time is UNC going forward? lol.

Are you saying you want the ACC to legislate that no team can play an FCS team the week before playing us?
Would they also be able to say GT can not play an FCS team before playing an ACC team?

Or you envision a rule to only benefit us?
