From what I can tell, we have 73 players currently on scholarship that I believe were offered full four year packages. I have no idea after that: Brooks the punter for example, I would assume has some kind of scholarship now.

We lose 10 senior players, so we're down to 63. I think we are allowed 79 players total next year. That would suggest we can take 16 players.

If CJ leaves, that adds one to 17.

I have looked at the roster and just can't figure who would be leaving due to medical, playing time or other except possibly:

1) Joe Gaston. Is he making it back?
2) Garner, Manley, et al. I can't imagine we keep 7 QB's in the real picture. I'd think Bennett stays and Ingram hasn't really had a shot yet. Does Garner, Manley leave?
3) Newberry. Maybe he's been around long enough to want to move on.
4) Gause. Injuries taken their toll and maybe it's time to play baseball?
5) Any other thoughts?

I don't see Manley leaving. I think a GT degree is his main goal. But I could see Garner and/or Ingram leaving as they'd have 3 years to play elsewhere.

Just a somewhat wild guess. Wasn't there some talk about Logan Walls taking a year off to do a mission? Would that free up a spot for this year?

It's my understanding that Brooks was offered a scholarship to transfer in.

Someone mentioned earlier in the week that Gaston is getting a medical redshirt, and will be back next year. That's good for us.

I bet we lose two out of Garner, Manley, Ingram.

I didn't even think about Gause, but you're right. He's already behind a freshman on the depth chart, and skipped out on minor league baseball to come here. That's a shame - I was hoping to see him play.

Maybe there are some RS JR's that are graduating and not coming back for next year? (ie Marcus Harris, Wayne Riles, LeShawn Newberry, Travis Rogers, David Sanborn)

Good thought.

Only Newberry and Riles are on scholly out of that group...and Riles will be the starter next year along with Peek.
Newberry taking a medical is always a possibility as he never got the step back after knee surgery.

We have 73 on scholarship and 10 seniors...thus 16 to give.

Ingram is going nowhere...coaches like what they see from him. Garner is the most likely transfer at QB.

I would have to think Gause is a definite possibility as a medical. Lets hope surgery is successful for Lonowski....if not he may be forced to not play....which would be tough.

There is always two or three that walk the fence academically.

...and just as a sidenote...there are no 4-year scholarships...all are one year renewable. It is just a long time practice to automatically renew the ones of the kids you recruited with one out of high school...unless you are Spurrier.
