scout updates all GT recruits to 3 stars

So did this involve downgrading Bostic or McCoy on Scout? What has been the proffered explanation for the move?

When they commit to a school like GT they usually get moved up to at least a 2 or 3 star. Pretty standard

McCoy was a stud b/f he committed to Tech. Somehow, though he hasn't played a single game, he is slowly starting to suck according to Scout. Those rankings are BuSh. The same thing happened to Luellen last year. When a top guy commits, its that much less a reason to pay to feel good about your team.

FWIW, all our recruits are in the top 65 or higher at their position on Scout, and all but two are top 50. I don't know how many stars they'll end up with, but that's pretty good considering how many high schools there are in the country.

I hate Scout and Rivals. They are good at getting news about players, but their rankings mean nothing. It's like PJ says "all recruits come to camp highly regarded". Fact is you just can't rate them based on their stats alone. Wayshaun Ealey for instance is a 4 or 5 star recruit for UGA, but he played in the weakest conference in the state of Georgia and he's like 20 and in highschool! So....no these ratings are crap.

I'm willing to bet had these recruits gone to UF, UGA, Bama they would be 4 or 5 stars....It just depends on who is hot on the ESPN front pages....

When the ranking services get to ranking the Top 2000(instead of the 300 or so they have up until now) several of our current commits will be 4 star if they aren't already. Scout is apparently in the process of doing their state rankings which expands the total number of recruits that have been evaluated, hence some of our commits going from 1 star(unevaluated) to 3 star. I'm not a rankings or stars nut, but they are no where near complete at this point either.
