I was watching the game again, and still can't believe some of the calls. Thought I'd share some screenshots here:

Absolutely unbelieveable.  Glad the VPI player made good friends with the referee. Thanks for the post GTCalvinist. Btw, that HD looks damn good!!

That one play looks like there are 3 simultaneous holds.

Those were some really bad calls/non-calls, and the 2 idiotic spots were upheld by the replay official!

The shot of the VT player hanging with the Refs is hysterical. Oh So true. That deserves a caption contest.

"Hey Ref, real slow like reach into my left hip guard. There's a $100 bill with your name on it!!"

It was a joke during the game when these calls were made and I wasn't laughing. Why in the world didn't the ACC have the best crew officiating this game, it was the marquee matchup, where was the best crew, please don't tell me this was it.:wow:

If it was a political thing because Virginia Tech was the higher ranked ACC team, then shame on the ACC. This officiating crew cheated plain and simple. In a closer game, these calls surely would have affected the outcome. :ugh:

Steppin down from my soapbox now.:laugher:

I don't think the ACC has a best crew. In fact, from what I've seen so far this year, there are no "best" crews anywhere in college football.

Under bad spot I, correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the "L" ref (Line Judge?) be in line with where the play is happening? It's very easy to see why he should be, because seeing that play at an angle definitely hurts your ability to see forward and backward movement.

There's also a post on the hive with video clips of the game. There's one in the fourth quarter near the end of the game where GT has a first and 10, Grant runs it for one yard and is tackled in bounds. Then the ref comes from the sideline and signals to stop the clock. WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THAT? Is there a rule I'm missing here?

Oh you don't know about the rule that if VPI is losing the clock is to be stopped after every play no matter what? You are certainly behind on modern ACC football!! :laugher: :laugher: Seriously, that is one I didn't notice during the game, and now I'm even more pissed.

GT Cal,
I appreciate the work you have done getting these clips together. I can't imagine how you managed to do what you have done to get them on here but you did well.

Thanks much !!

Thanks GTCalvinist..........look just as bad as they did live. Hope we hear something on the penalty these refs should receive. How in the hell did they think they could get away with this? Or their just that bad a group?

Send these to Gailey and Nix. great still shots of what happened.
