Good scrimmage today:

1. Nice crowd on hand cheering

2. Dwyer stood out the most I believe, had a nice long TD run, and some other nice runs...TC didnt play much just to save his legs

3. TB looked sharp and seemed to hit the right reads most of the time. I really like how he checks down. Grant is going to touch the ball A LOT!

4. Donley played well today although he did drop one ball, he made some nice grabs though and will contribute.

5. The defense looked stout, front 7 is fierce and was blowing up the OL, DB's had an ok day

6. Players missing in action were Peek, Gardner, Smith, JJ, Baybay, Tweeter, Chambers, and MJ...i think thats all, they were working in the weight room and on the sidlines with medicine balls.

7. Baybay seemed to be walking fine

8. Nesbitt is how do you put it, FAST! He looked good running QB draws. Think Tebow but faster, way more wiggle.

9. Coaches seemed happy with the scrimmage after, players seemed exhausted, Robo was suffering from some heat exhaustion and I believe was getting an IV.

10. All the non participants today should be ready come Sept.1

11. Nick Mcrae and Cooper Taylor was on campus today, as well as a cornerback recruit from Cali, not sure of the name. Also had the pleasure of meeting a new O Line recruit i will put it this way hes HUGE. Coaches seemed excited about him being on campus.

12. Booker struggled a little, but he was goin against the #1 D most of the time, and his recievers were mostly walk-ons. Plus someone named Wheeler was always in his face?

13. Willie White made a nice diving catch for a TD, Greg Smith stood out at WR with 2 TD's.

14. This freshman class is loaded, Yandell played with the first team in place of Gardner, Burnett did well and Butler almost had a pick.

The team is really looking good and ready to get it on in South Bend.

Not to hijack the thread but it looks like ol Tater isn't as much of a 15 year mama's boy as "some" thought...

It wasnt as bad as some are making it out to be, its hot, its football, it happens.

The huge offensive line recruit that I mentioned in the post above I just found out his name, i couldnt remember it yesterday but its Mesh Wokomaty, the kid was a tower standing either 6'7" or 6'8" and looked to have a good solid frame. I believe the coaches said he was around 285. Supposedly his first year playing football but the coaches are interested.
