This is like having to choose between Hitler's Army and the Viet Cong.

Look for shivs and crack pipes to litter the field. Full body armor will be at a premium this week. VPI's thuggery reminds me of a poor man's version of the old F$U teams - cheap shot artists who dance around the field like a bunch of jive turkeys after every play (that's right, I used the phrase 'jive turkeys'). And of course there's no telling what Thug U will come out with as their swagger continues to mount.

My guess is VThug will circle the drain for about 55 minutes and find a way to steal a defensive struggle at the end, 17-13.

I hope VT can pull it out but I see miami running away with the game.

I hope terrorists blow up the stadium. Is there anyway we can communicate with Al Qaeda? I'm sure there will be infidels enjoying western culture at that game.

I would really like VPI to lose, only because I live with a VT fan and the comments he would make about winning would be rather annoying, but that would change if we beat them on October.

I want VPI to win to help our division chances, but I don't see it happening. I see Miami winning big. By like 2 TDs over VPI.

I'll say 28-10. In a game dominated by the canes on the ground. VPI who already has a suspect run defense through 3 will anticipate Miami coming in throwing (like they have the previous two) and get run over early, and then when they commit to stopping the run, Miami will proceed to throw it all around on Chancellor.

UM kicks the SH*T out of VPI.

I wish it would not happen, but Ithink it does. The thing I wanna see though is Harris take a few hits from VPI to see how he will react. If he gets up and torches VPI, then the canes are for real. If VPI drills his ass and he gets happy feet, then UM could be in for a few more L's this year.

I hate the "Other" tech, but it would be better for GT if "Virginia Tech" wins so...Go Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University! Hopefully the Fighting Gobblers can overcome the thugly swagger

Hokie, Hokie, Hokie, Hi!

Hurricanes are gonna die!

Listen, Miami beats us out in the coastal right now, so we need them to lose as many ACC (especially ACC-CD) games as possible. Virginia Tech isn't as promising as others had hoped. I'm going for Virginia Tech, since they haven't beaten us yet.

So what would everyone say is the 'better' scenario? (*I'm assuming these things could happen)

We go 11-1 with our only loss to Miami, we miss the NC game, but get serious consideration for a BCS bowl game because Miami goes 13-0 and is going to the NC game.

Or

We go 12-1 with our only loss to a 2 loss Miami team and we are still only going to a BCS bowl game/might get consideration for MNC game but not likely.

I think I like the first scenario. If we could (assuming here), go unbeaten the rest of the way, I think that I would like the only team that we lost to, to be playing for all the marbles, that way we can say, "look how good we are, the only team we lost to is undefeated and playing in the NC game".

That's just me though. :)

I agree with you. Miami going all the way and winning the BCSNC would be good for all the teams in our conference. This BS where all the teams have at least 3 losses will not help us our or the rest of the ACC. Our conference is in dire need of a team to go to the National Championship.

An 11-1 GT team does not get an at-large-bid to a BCS bowl. The only teams that do either are not BCS conference teams or seat 100,000 people at most of their games.

Miami, and it's not going to be close after the first half.

Just so everyone knows UM has 2 starting D-linemen out for the VT game and have 2 starting O-linemen that are doubtful.
