Yep. This would be the first step to forming their own league. And people are fooling themselves if they don't think that major teams would be interested in joining.Once a handful of other power programs join, this will actually make sense. A 20/24 team SEC of all your national powers can have its own 8 team playoff.
Ga tech football will die. Those that push this don’t realize itDo it….and let the rest of us return to conventional college football with actual student-athletes.
They don’t careGa tech football will die. Those that push this don’t realize it
We cannot allow the sec to isolate itself further. If ga tech isn’t playing games against marquee opponents then you will see stadiums of 5,000 instead of 30,000-50,000, and tech may give up most sportsThey don’t care
Nobody at any SEC school or any SEC wannabe school (UNC, Clemson, FSU) gives a damn about GT football surviving as long as they get theirs.Ga tech football will die. Those that push this don’t realize it
Yes, the plan is to stop them from having their wayNobody at any SEC school or any SEC wannabe school (UNC, Clemson, FSU) gives a damn about GT football surviving as long as they get theirs.
I’m not pushing anything….if the SEC wants to secede from college football then so be it. Why do you think such a move will kill GT football?Ga tech football will die. Those that push this don’t realize it
Dodd unknowingly killed GT football back when he had his temper tantrum. It just got put on life support and this will finally pull the plug.Ga tech football will die. Those that push this don’t realize it
TV contract money is what’s keeping the AA afloat. If there is a split and GT is not a part of the new league it will be the end of itSo, do SEC convos belong in our Pro Sports area on Stingtalk now? Just curious. Don't want to get the evil eye.
Depends how it splits. If the Big 10/Pac# get left out, tv viewership craters. No one outside the south will watch a southern minor league version of the NFL.TV contract money is what’s keeping the AA afloat. If there is a split and GT is not a part of the new league it will be the end of it
