Pass interference call was a joke and the head ref KNEW it. He tried to get the idiot in the corner to change his mind.

How did UGA recover the punt when Michael Johnson had the ball? Cheaters.

If there's any chance the call could go either way, UGAg is gonna get it. These are SEC refs for crying out loud!

Why? Why?!!!!!!!! Another year of crap from the stupid mutt fans...........

Then why dont ACC refs make calls our way?

They suck. Believe me, SEC>ACC officiating. They didnt make biased calls, just some stupid ones.

The difference is that if it was ACC refs, we'd still be at the stadium waiting on the ruling from the review booth on whether Peek stepped out of bounds or not.

They had to be biased in at least a couple cases. SEC refs are WAY better than ACC refs. I'm not blaming the refs for the loss but that bogus pass interference and all 3 calls (touchbacks or whatever they called em) in the endzone (which all went to UGA) were biased. Calls like that put a team that's got momentum in a bad state. GT can't overcome calls like that.

The pass interference was bogus, but how do you figure the touchbacks? Wheeler fumbled the ball out of the endzone...it's the opposing team's ball. That's in the rule book. On the first muffed punt, Georgia recovered it in the endzone, and that was the first time they had possession of the ball, so it was a touchback. That is also in the rule book. I haven't seen a replay yet, so I don't know what happened with the second muffed punt, but since they spent 5 minutes conferencing in order to pick up a flag that was going to be against GT, I think it's hard to consider their decision there biased for UGA.

That said...there were some bad calls and I can't help but wonder if a couple of them hadn't happened whether the game might have gone a different way. We executed incredibly poorly, but until the end U[sic]GA wasn't outplaying us by all that much. As always though, I do find it tough to complain about officiating when we have receivers dropping sure touchdown passes and people fumbling balls out of the opposing endzone.

I thought the calls were significant and were terrible. We go ahead with 2 to play in the first half. They hold our end who gets to Spooner late and he completes to Massaquoi. We blitz Wheeler, he is definitely held, and they throw long again to Massaquoi. They throw on 3rd down and get a horrible pass interference call, score and lead at the half. Our players deserve a fan base that at least could be united in supporting them against bad calls by refs.

My point wasn't that GT should have gotten all the calls but that every close call in the game went against Tech. The play where the punt was deflected ended up with Michael Johnson coming out of the pile with the ball, TD! The flag made no difference, they were pulling it out while the play was still in progress because they were sure the Tech player was gonna hit him. UGA deflected the ball and Tech never touched the returner. Like I said, I'm not gonna blame the refs for the loss because Tech didn't execute well enough. Those calls just turned the tide and gave UGA the momentum which Tech never could get back.

Burnett fumbled that ball BTW not Wheeler
