Second time for Jackets to be on Gameday?

According to The State today:

Gameday considers Clemson for Georgia Tech week. Clemson is one of three sites being considered as host for ESPN’s “College Gameday” preview show in two weeks, network spokesman Josh Krulewitz said Sunday night.
No. 12 Clemson plays No. 13 Georgia Tech (5-1, 3-0 ACC) at home Oct. 21 in a game that features contenders for the league’s division titles. Clemson plays winless Temple on Thursday; Georgia Tech has a bye this weekend.
Two other top-25 matchups are scheduled for that weekend: No. 15 Iowa at No. 4 Michigan and No. 6 Texas at No. 21 Nebraska.
A decision will be made next Sunday, Krulewitz said.

I would be very surprised if they don't choose our game, the other games just seem like they will be blowouts.

I wouldn't count Iowa out for the season. They are no M State.

Well, the rumors are that Clemson's AD is pushing for a noon game. It will take place at wherever the ABC 8:00 game is, unless Kirk can drive up to wherever it is between 12 and 8.

So, if it's noon, I would doubt gameday being there.

As for your question, Clemson wanted a quick turnaround because they're playing VPI the following Thursday. Somebody in the Clemson office certainly made a bad decision scheduling-wise with that one.

As much as I hope they pick our game I just don't see them passing on # 4 Michigan or # 6 Texas.

Considering that we have never won at a GD site, I hope you are right.

Normally that is the case, but I don't think there is an 8:00 ABC game on the 21st because of the world series. TX / Nebraska is at noon so they are probably out. Michigan/ Iowa is the 3:30 ABC so I think it's between us and them. I like our chances with gameday spinning it as the ACCCG preview.
