so far. It's amazing because we have only 1/4 starters back but the seondary has looked great so far - at least against the pass. I honestly am not sure if I have seen a truly open receiver in 2 games. This group doesn't seem as strong supporting the run though...

The d-line has been overrated thus far. We don't get pressure on the QB w/o blitzing and we don't get any penetration on running plays - even against Samford. Maybe we are missing Wrotto, Wilkerson and our 2 run stuffing safeties?

The secondary was my biggest concern entering the season, but they have my full confidence now with excellent performance against ND and Samford, how about those INT returns yesterday?? When was the last time we had one for 90+ yards and a touchdown??

They have performed well. They will be tested again next week - Troy threw 48 passes against FSU.

They did a good job against the Irish, sure was better than what everyone expected. We will probably see better coverage than what we have had in the recent past but not as much of a physical presence against the run or on blitzes. A pretty good trade off in my opinion.

I have been surprised as well regarding the secondary. They look like they haven't missed a beat. I particularly like the effort at the opposite corner spot from Kenny Scott.

A good pass rush makes a secondary look better every time. If we can keep a solid pass rush in games this season, our secondary will continue to look good.

Although, you don't face receivers like McKnight and Smardzija (sp?) everyday and the guys did a heck of a job even when we didn't get a pass rush. We'll need the good coverage to create sacks and the D-Line pressure to create INT's.
