ESPN Major push to keep Ohio State out of BCS game in favor of one loss SEC team. I've never seen anything so blatant.

So a team that goes undefeated for two straight seasons in a major conference should now be considered unworthy of National Championship contention? I hope the SEC gets totally shut out. Go Noles and Go Bucks!

I'll believe it when I see it. I think an undefeated Ohio State with a 24 game win streak goes over Alabama.
Alabama won't be in the SEC championship game, so that will fade their star a little too.

Of course if MSU beats OSU, them Bama probably goes.

I fully expect 3 out of 4 playoff teams from the SEC next year

Bama will be ranked above Auburn in your world?

What will be even funnier will be if Auburn loses to Missouri. Ohio State loses to MSU. Missouri doesn't get to play for National Championship because when we talk SEC, everyone knows we are talking about Bammer. I guarantee you that the SEC'ers will turn on Missouri in a second should that scenario happen. This isn't about the SEC. It is about getting Bammer in there or secondary Auburn.

No way a one loss SEC team jumps an undefeated FSU or OSU. However, I do hope OSU loses next weekend so we can have an FSU-Auburn (or Mizzou or Alabama) title game. It's just not very satisfactory to think that the SEC's title streak will come to an end due to a #4 ranked SEC team beating a #1 ranked SEC team on a spectacular last second play at home.

If there was clearly no deserving SEC team, that would be one thing, but I find it hard to say that Saturday demonstrates the top SEC teams are not superior to the top teams from other conferences. Not that a one loss SEC team should jump an undefeated FSU or OSU; it's just a flaw in the system, that thankfully will be going away next year.

It'll get interesting if OSU and Auburn both lose in their championship games. I'd put Missouri in over Alabama, but I think there's a chance Alabama would sneak back in.

While it might make sense, if both Auburn and OSU lose, to put Mizzou in over Alabama just the algorithmic way the polls are permuted from week to week, I'd take Alabama in a fist fight any day. If Alabama doesn't miss all those field goals, we aren't even talking about this, and I personally think they still have one of the 2 best teams in the country. I would love to watch them play FSU in the NCG almost as much as I would love to watch FSU unleash nightmares on OSU in the NCG. What I least want to see out of what looks like the four or five most likely FSU opponents is FSU unleashing nightmares on Mizzou in the NCG because Mizzou is boring and stupid and the second luckiest team in the SEC.

That would be total horseshit. Mizzou only loss is in 2OT. They beat every other team prior to Tex A&M by at least 2 touchdowns and they would have just won the SEC. Bama is not getting in. They are done.

Remember is not about having a loss but who you lost to. Since Bama's loss is now the highest quality loss among all one loss team, they win get in over any of them if OSU loses. An SEC loss equals six big 10/12/ACC conference wins.

I think r/cfb said it best...

"Just watched 2 guests on Sportscenter rank Auburn ahead of OSU. Colin had Bama ahead too. Between them was a commercial with "SEC! SEC!" chant advertising SEC / ESPN Network"
