They just showed the bowl record and in last place, ranked #10, was 0-0 Big Ten.

ACC was next at 0-1, number 9.

someone else was 0-1 at 8.

SEC was 0-4 and number 7. I have never seen a 0-4 conference ranked as better than a 0/0 and 0-1 conference. Ridiculous!

AAC is 3-0 and I’m hoping both conference strengths are showing.

And Jesse Palmer’s first thing out of his mouth was “well important players are out for Miss State”.

I pray that the ACC leaves ESPN, plays games when best for home teams and builds a fan base as a priority.

I guess the logic is a bowl loss is better than not playing in a bowl at all. So 0-4 is better than 0-1 because the 0-4 conference had 4 bowl teams.

Unfair under that logic is not counting bowl teams that were affected by Covid cancellations. The ACC's 0-1 doesn't count NC State or Miami's bowls being cancelled. NC State and Miami were bowl teams. So at worst the ACC should be treated as though 0-3.

I understand your gripe but don't sweat it too much. Bowl games have entered the zone of being as meaningful as the NFL preseason.

This probably has nothing to do with bias and everything to do with an incomplete algorithm.

Because you can use the same argument to claim an ESPN ACC bias over the B1G which is obviously not true.

Do any of you realize how tough it is for an SEC team to get fired up to play a lesser opponent? That is the only reason they lose these games. The SEC plays for championships. If Mississippi State had won all their games, they are playing for a championship. As it is, they didn't and it was hard for them to get fired up about playing a lesser opponent like Texas Tech - so they played down to Texas Tech's level and lost.

Had that been the national title game against Texas Tech, Mississippi State obviously would have cruised to victory.

It was very similar to when they played down to us in the Orange Bowl and lost. Mississippi State that season was expecting to play for a championship. Their superior team lost to us because they were disappointed and uninspired to win the game.

This is pretty funny. The clankers lost because they got their asses whipped on the field. They were slow & weak and got exposed. The SEC lives off this every year. Their OOC record over the years is no better than anyone else’s & if not for Bammer they’d be below average. They have a good team every year, sometimes 2, but the rest of the conference is just as mediocre as the Big 12. If their teams played in the Big 10, the records would look a lot different.

I think any SEC fan could point out the absolute fallacy of your argument that we whipped them. Obviously, they were uninspired to play the Orange Bowl and played down to us. If they had won all their games, they would have been national champions. Let that sink in.
