Send kids to the Quicklane Bowl

Akinji comes up with an idea. Sportsbroad collects the credit.

Let's take our tickets we can't sell and give it to local kids in Detroit, have them root for Tech. 5-10 years down the road we might get a really good player out of Detroit who became a Tech fan on December 26, 2018 and come to Tech and win us a natty.

But yeah donate to this. Its a good cause.

so are they buying GT's tickets and then giving them to the organization? Or just face value bowl game tickets?

She is buying the tickets through GT according to her Twitter feed. But the price is like $100 each when you can buy directly from the bowl for $30 or something, maybe less in bulk.

Buying through GT helps the program, but gets less kids. She's trying to get about 100 tickets I think, which would be enough for the kids in the program.

Yeah I want to do the GT thing. I only care about the kids marginally and want to help our bowl image and send kids to the games.

I actually want a similar option for season tickets and a partnership with Children's Hospital/St. Jude's or something.

Why are the tickets $100 apiece?

Bowl extorting the schools? Minnesota website has them for $99.25 (plus fees I assume).

Ticketmaster has the midfield seats for $89 (plus huge fees I assume). If you want to sit in the endzones it is cheaper.
