Shamire Devine

I was surprised how much he was on the field. He must have found motivation in the off season and really worked on his conditioning. Kudos to him!

I was surprised how much he played. I also thought he looked good but we'll have to watch the tape.

Is he even bigger than last year?

And speaking of big dudes where was Brandon Adams last night?

He looked pretty good last night. I'm ok with him not starting because having a guy that size that can move come off the bench in key situations is awesome. Those plays where he pulled, it looked like a freaking freight train blasting in to clear a path, no linebacker or safety wants to deal with that.

Hopefully, someone showed him a sampling or two of Shaq Mason's greatest hits from '14 and explained to him that he could be in the NFL. Devine looked great last night. Would be nice to simply run behind him like the team did when Mason was collapsing DT's out there.

Miami beat us one year running behind a mountain.

Even looked quick on a trap block. I really noticed his improvement.

Devine is good going forward, but not good going sideways. He was so slow on the pull that he disrupted the mesh a few times. Herbstreit and Fowler were even talking about the awkward mesh exchange on one of them.

We may be thinking of different plays, but one I heard them talking about was that the mesh might of been too slow, had to clear the way for the freight train.

Might of also been a different play, but I also remember one time he pulled he ended up running between two defenders who basically jumped out of his way. Kind of the zen opening the hole without even blocking anyone heh

The double defender play I recall was the Parker Braun pull, but I'm sure Devine did work as well. On the pulling play, I got the impression Devine was slow on his right to left pull across the back end of the line and Benson had to do a bit of a stutter step to get behind him. It may have been interference with the QB on the mesh now that I think about it; not really sure there.

Wow - a guy that big who keeps his eyes open and his feet moving like that?

I guess he's starting to realize his NFL potential.
