You guys are playing dominant football...and this was a woeful area over the past few years. No longer!....there is a special teams swagger again in all aspects of the game.

Yes a job well-done. We finally got some athletes on the ST's.
 
Our turnaround on STs really has been amazing. And the two primary differences were adding a new punter and a new kickoff guy.

It looks like Scott Blair is going to be a good one. If he is anywhere near as cool and accurate kicking FG's as he is kickoffs...then we should be ok there the next 3 years.

The coverage teams are also playing with a lot of confidence, toughness, and high expectations for themselves. It is good to see.
 
I knew we had improved this year, but I didn't realize until this game that we were #1 in the nation in opponent punt return average, #2 in punting average (no surprise), #2 in opponent kickoff return average, and top 10 in kickoff return average.

Pretty exciting stuff, especially after the last few years.

I had guests for the game and did a lot of bragging about our special teams play. I don't recall when I have seen it any better. Each time before we punted, I would say, "Now watch this."
