I was watching the show hard knocks on HBO last week because there was a scrimmage between the falcons and bengals. (i'm now hooked btw)

Anyways, mike smith said to marvin lewis "simple is still better". I thought this was a very powerful statement as it relates to our defense and think that with our experience and depth that we should see some great strides on that side of the ball this year. At least i'm hoping so.

KISS-keep it simple stupid

That's all. Comment if you like.

He also said STTE "theres only so much you can do with 11 guys on a field"

Apparently one of them isn't consistently win playoff games. Heigh-ohh!! :crapstorm:Relax, I'm kidding.

In all seriousness, I always like the KISS mantra. I think the D will be much improved this year.

Great show as always. I remember that segment. I think it makes a ton of sense. You have to keep it simple on defense so the players can react naturally and play looser. It's a different story for offense, though.

BTW, James Harrison is a beast
