So anyone here actually think we saw the best team in the country play tonight?

I just wanted to say something as absurd and ridiculous as claiming that a majority, or even large minority, of college football fans are actual college students.

its very easy to show that this is not even close to being the case

take a sampling of any college football game pictures. review the people in the stands. after 30 seconds you will realize that MAYBE 5% of the people are college aged. then look close and discount all the ones with mullets and facial tattoos, they are probably not in college

then add in the chearleaders and the band, and then you can notice that there are MANY MANY more men between the ages of 45-55 than any other age group

UGAy wouldnt have many fans if they all had to be students... or even alumni... but you can be a UGAy fan just because your aunts friend had a neighbor whose son knocked up a chick that went to UGAy

This is all real interesting but I don't know why it matters. Back to the discussion of playoffs, the people who fill the stadium at home games would not travel to 3 road games in succession, particularly when they are in bowl locations. Sure some would, but the bast majority would either go to the first one and miss the rest, or bet on winning one and either going to the second or betting it all on making the championship and waiting for that one.
