Yes, that could happen if Maryland also loses to Virginia or Wake Forest. If Mary finishes 11-2 AND Fla St loses to NC St then it would be a co-championship. The head-to-head winner goes to Orange UNLESS the loser is ranked more than 5 places ahead of the winner in the final BCS standings. I figure that an 11-2 Terrapin team, & winner of 9 straight, gets ranked more than 5 places ahead of an 8-5 or even a 9-4 FSU team. Therefore, Maryland goes to the Orange Bowl for the 2nd consecutive year.

PS: don't worry, 11-1 Iowa will go to a BCS Bowl. 1)if Ohio St loses to Mich, Iowa for sure gets the Rose. If Ohio St beats Mich, they get Fiesta & Iowa for sure goes to Rose. Rose will get 1st choice if they lose Big10 champ to Fiesta & will surely take Iowa. The real question is where an 11-1 Ohio St team would go? 2)there are 2 at-large teams to be chosen & Texas is out. 3)Notre Dame has an extremely tough game @ Southern Cal. 4)lots of football yet to be played & the Hawkeyes are locked in at 11-1.

GT Ace, agree, Maryland will probably win out and go to Orange if FSU loses to NCSU. Another loss pushes FSU much further down the scale.
