So....Tight Ends

I assume we're gonna return to a more conventional offense using Tight Ends. What's the closest thing on the roster that we could convert to a TE? B-Back? I don't think we have any WR who are that stocky. Bring in a grad transfer? Have we started recruiting incoming freshman TE? Being able to play right away could be a nice lure for a big-time recruit.

We should have cryogenically frozen Colin Peek instead of letting him transfer. Hindsight is 20/20.

Opening game is @Clemson -for that game only CTBGC should have closed practices going into fall and come out running the 3O.

And several ABs can play receivers in a spread offense.

We got a redshirt freshman Josh Tukes. He's 6'6" and was a standout BB player in high school. These type frames and athleticism usually convert pretty well to the TE position. Probably some other kids in the program and possibly can get one in our recruiting cycle this year.

Since we recruit typically smaller more athletic OL it is possible we might have some that could transition to TE.

Heck in CPJ’s first year he had 2 converted TE playing OT (Barrick and Sellers)

Didn't really fit into Gailey's Run, Run, Pass, Punt scheme. Maybe Collins will utilize the position more?

I grew up watching Ted Davis and Billy Martin.

It is a great position to play. Tim Manion, Tom Covington, Steve Foster.

And I hate to say it, but look at Nauta at ugag.

I'm talking about one of WRs bulking up and trying to block LBs and DEs like a TE needs to do. Unless we slim down a Tackle who has decent hands to play TE.
